LOOKING AFTER YOUR HEALTH AND SAFETY

Pegasus has implemented new Health and Hygiene protocols along with our COVID Safe Plan for all team members prior to reopening the property for your safety. We hope guests will enjoy their Pegasus experience, safe in the knowledge that the highest standard of health and hygiene protocols are being stringently applied.

Here are some of our plans highlights :

 

HAND SANITISERS

  • Hand sanitisers have been placed at the hotel lobby entrance, reception, all guest elevators, restaurant and bar, conference rooms, staff canteen and all back of house offices.

SOCIAL DISTANCING

  • Social distancing compliance signs have been placed in public areas including the hotel lobby, reception, restaurant and bar, gym and pool.
  • All above areas also clearly display maximum capacity signs at entrance
  • Our team members will observe social distancing when interacting with guests.
  • Furniture and exercise equipment has been rearranged to allow for proper social distancing.

FACE MASKS AND GLOVES

  • Face masks are currently mandatory in Melbourne and must be worn while moving around the hotel.
  • Face masks will be worn by all staff members in and around the hotel.
  • Duty Managers will have stocks of additional masks and gloves for any guest or team member requests.

ADDITIONAL SANITISING

  • The frequency of cleaning in public areas has been increased, including the lobby, elevator interiors and operating buttons, door handles, railings and public bathrooms, with the use of hospital grade disinfectant.
  • Increased sanitisation in all guest rooms (see details below). In the restaurant and gym all high touch areas will be cleaned more frequently.
  • Guest room key cards are sanitised upon return to reception

COMMUNICATIONS & TRAINING

  • Mandatory Pegasus Safe Stay training will be carried out to ensure team members are up to date on safety procedures and expectations.
  • Safety operating protocols to be reminded to staff at all staff briefings.
  • Posters promoting washing of hands thoroughly and frequently; and the use of face masks and the importance of social distancing have been placed in all back of house areas to further remind team members of the importance of these actions.
  • State and Federal Government updates are shared during daily staff briefings.

RESTAURANTS

  • Comply with Government regulations to ensure restaurants are safe both in distancing and density.
  • Publicly display safe density numbers for each area
  • Tables to be sanitised in between guests
  • Continue to focus on protocols already in place with Food Safety Standards

GUEST ROOMS

  • Guest room high touch points are a primary focus.
  • More intense sanitisation is carried out on telephones, remote controls, door handles, wardrobe handles, toilet seat & flusher, kettle, light switches, hair driers, safes, mini bar fridges, bins and any other touch points.
  • High touch items (remote controls and information cards) sanitised and placed in a sealed bag fresh for each guest
  • Removal of magazines from all guest rooms.

MEETINGS AND CONFERENCING

  • Heightened sanitisation of all key high-touch points including, telephones, remote controls, light switches etc.
  • Government regulations will be followed to ensure all meetings and events are complying with distancing and density regulations.
